Basketball
The Dunk Calculator estimates the vertical jump height a player must achieve to successfully dunk a basketball by subtracting their standing reach from the sum of the rim height and required clearance. It uses the formula: Required Vertical Jump = (Rim Height + Clearance) – Standing Reach, with a standard rim height of 10 feet and a minimum clearance of 6 inches for a one-handed dunk. Advanced versions also factor in body weight, hand size, and technique for a more personalized result.
